A museum project always requires great skill at balancing issues of lighting, circulation and spatial volumes that support the artwork. This project also had to determine a design direction that could respond visually to the original Neo-Georgian structure and the subsequent additions that did not match the original aesthetic. Navigating these complicated design parameters required a skillful manipulation of materials, spatial layout as well as the form and materials of the new structure, all of which needed to act as compliment to the museum's collection.
