Frisco City Hall and LibraryFrisco, TexasDate: 2005
Size: 148,000 s.f.The new City Hall and Library will become the prominent central focal point for Frisco Square, a master planned, new urbanist development. To endow the building with civic presence, Holzman Moss Architecture designed a strong stone façade and striking central clock tower that houses at its summit a public City Room. The building sits on a large landscaped plaza providing an important green space for civic functions. The building program provides a new tradition as it combines library and city hall functions to offer a complex and interconnected building to be used by the public and city officials at the same time. A new tradition of civic and public interaction will occur in a distinguished home that will be Frisco's new town center.
