Historic preservation projects illustrate the growing understanding and appreciation for the structures that capture our history and traditions. This project restores not only the visual, physical elements but does so in a manner that captures the original spirit that prompted people to call this theatre the "Pride of the Pacific" when it opened in 1922. Restoration is more than preservation and reconstruction, it is an opportunity to restore past character and in this case rescue a deteriorating structure and give it new pride.
