The courtyard theater itself is a stage for transformation. The flexible space can accommodate a variety of performances from theatrical to choral and chamber music and dance. It is also used for lectures, community events, weddings and movies. The theater can be arranged to allow frontal, thrust or theater-in-the-round style presentations. This high level of adaptability is a result of clever design elements such as large movable acoustical panels that help tune the room for each specific function.

The overall aesthetic is one of constant transformation and drama with exposed catwalks and perforated metal panels that not only offer true functional adaptation but also provide a dynamic space that just appears as if in constant change and excitement. Since the opening, the Resident Plano Repertory Theater has experienced a doubling of season ticket subscribers.
